Gustavo Carvalho - Guide Founder and owner of KuritBike
User of the bicycle as his main way of transportation since 2002, he started to do cycling trips in 2004 and took trips by himself and in groups in the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná, Gustavo took part in several workshops and trainings about tourism, environment and safety issues promoted by the National Association of Ecotourism (ABETA -Associação Brasileira de Ecoturismo e Turismo de Aventura), Ministry of Tourism (Ministério do Turismo) and National Association of Travel Agencies (ABAV - Associação Brasileira de Agências de Viagens). He is a professional musician in He studied biology and French Literature at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2001 to 2007. Languages: Portuguese, French, Spanish and English
Luis Patricio - Coordinator and Guide
KuritBike Partner Since 2005 Luis is involved with the Critical Mass local group he helped to create. He is also a founding member of the Cyclists Union of Brazil, and the local NGO Grupo Transporte Humano. And Steering Committee Member of the World Carfree Network from 2009 to 2011. Among the projects he helped to coordinate are: Curitiba Commuter’s Challenge, Curitiba Carfree Month and Free Transportation Program. These and other projects focus not only on sustainable mobility. They also support community building, fair/local trade, ecological practices, and general energy savings. Luis, his wife and daughter are carfree citizens since 2007 and they have a nice outdoor living room in their garage at home. Languages: Portuguese, English, French
Alessandro Puma – bikes’ maintenance Founder and owner of Velo Club Curitiba He is in the business of bikes’ maintenance for over 10 years. He worked in bike’s body shops in Europe ( Currently he runs his new store and body shop Velo Club Curitiba, being one of the most important partners of KuritBike, he contributes with his skilled labor in the maintenance of the bikes and also provides the space for the starting spot of Bike Tours.
