1. Are the rides safe?

Yes! The tours are designed to provide maximum safety and enjoyment for our customers. Nearly 80% of the routes consist of bike lanes, 15% are of pleasant streets, with trees and little traffic flow. Only 5% of the routes, when there is no alternative, we ride – very carefully - through the busiest streets. This care in the preparation of the routes makes the rides more safe and enjoyable.

2. What happens in case of rain?

If there aren’t any reservations the tour does not happen. If there are reservations and the customers want to ride even in the rain, the ride will happen normally. The bikes are equipped with fenders to provide more comfort and protection, noting that sometimes riding in the rain can be refreshing.

In case of rain we have an exception and cancellations by phone are accepted on the day of the ride, up to 60 minutes prior to the start, with refunding of 95% for credit card payments and 100% for cash payments. Rides not canceled with at least 60 minutes advance on a rainy day will not be refunded.

3. What happens if there are any problems with the bike?

First of all, the bikes are all new and under regular revision and maintenance. If something happens in spite of that, the guides are equipped and trained to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems and to repair flat or punctured tires. If it is not possible to solve the problem on site, we will arrange the refund and transfer customer and bicycle to the starting point of the tour (valid only for the bikes of KuritBike’s fleet and loyalty customer’s bikes).

4. How can I become a loyalty customer?

You will become a loyalty customer automatically after hiring any three Kuritbike’s services. See loyalty system at the bottom.

5. Do I have to be an athlete to take the rides?

Fortunately you don’t have to be an athlete; you just need to be healthy and willing to pedal. After all, it is a tour, our aim is to get to know the city calmly, not run through it.

6. What is included in the tour price?

The tour package includes the guide service, rental of bikes, rental of safety equipment (helmet), mechanical emergency assistance, and transfer to the starting point (in case of problem with the bike) and water. See Services for further information.

7. Is it essential to use the safety equipment?

In any responsible work, performed with groups of people, is essential to use all the prevention and protection methods. For your own safety, we provide helmets and their use is mandatory during the bike tours.

8. How are the bikes like?

All the bicycle are Bikes Mountain Bikes all new and configured for more comfort in the city. In addition, bicycles are equipped with all safety items required by the National Traffic Code: mirror, horn, blinkers and reflectors (front and rear).

9. Can I bring my bike?

Of course, if you bring your bike and safety equipment you get a 50% discount, if you bring just your bike, the bike discount is 33%. But stay tuned for the maintenance and upkeep of your bike since the transfer and warranty for mechanical problems only covers the bicycles provided by our staff and loyalty customer program.

10. Do I need to bring anything special to take the rides?

There is no need to bring anything specific. We only recommend using light and comfortable clothing (trekking suits or work out suits), closed and comfortable shoes and sunscreen and sunglasses for the sunny days.

11. How long are the rides?

The tours in the city last of 3 and a half hours on average, including stops for rest, photos, chat and snacks. Tours with cultural workshops are one hour longer. See Routes and Schedules to see a detailed description of each route.

12. Is it possible to have a personalized route?

Of course, it will be a pleasure to develop a roadmap according to your needs. We also design bikecommuting programas to work, school or other destinations. Contact us and ask for an evaluation.

13. Is it really necessary to make a reservation?

Once the groups are intentionally small (maximum of 10 people), it is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance, but you can also take the chance and show up at the meeting point at least about 15 minutes before the tour starts.

14. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations up to 48 hours in advance receive a 100% refund for advanced payments in cash and 95% for advanced payments made by bank (credit card, deposit and transfer). Cancellations made with less than 48 hours advance will not be refunded. In case of rain, we accept cancellations on the day of the ride with at least 60 minutes notice.

15. What are the forms of payment?

We accept payment in cash (Real, U.S. Dollar and Euro) bank deposit / transfer and Visa and Master Card (cash down).
